Thousand Log Jetty

Canopy Watch is set up to document the logging practices in Papua New Guinea, in this case we document the common practice of building a temporary jetty with logs. This one was built with the use of over 1000 logs, in some areas I could see the jetty had a depth of 5 or 6 logs. The count does not include the logged road that leads up to the jetty. This jetty was already in disuse as the operation had moved to the next bay.
